John Yang holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the University of California, Berkeley. He joined Blizzard Entertainment in 2011. He was the designer responsible for the Barbarian, Demon Hunter, and Witch Doctor classes throughout Reaper of Souls development. He designed and implemented a large portion of Reaper of Souls' legendary items and sets. He also works on tuning and balance for all classes, legendary items, item sets, and rifts. Yang has since been transferred to work on World of Warcraft: Legion.
