The Battle of Leo Minor was a major naval engagement between the United Galactic Alliance and the Thanix Assimilation. The UGA sent a fleet led by Admiral Charles Fields to intercept a massive Thanix fleet led by High Captain Culcurek. The fight began in the R Leonis Minoris system, the Assimilation fleet's first stop. The battle there lasted for hours as Fields' fleet attempted to stop Culcurek's fleet from destroying a UGA outpost in the system. The UGA fleet was able to hold off the Assimilation armada long enough for the outpost to be evacuated but that wasn't it.

The battle there lasted for hours as Fields' fleet attempted to stop Culcurek's fleet from destroying a UGA outpost in the system. The UGA fleet was able to hold off the Assimilation armada long enough for the outpost to be evacuated but that wasn't it. The Thanix would head towards the 20 Leonis Minoris system to attack a UGA colony there as well. UGA forces led by Admiral Fields joined up with colonial defenses to hold off the Thanix fleet. UGA forces were on the verge of defeat and decided the only way to save lives was to evacuate the colony. UGA forces would hold them off for as long as possible until being forced to pull out, fortunately, long after the colonial evacuation was complete.
