Transgress is an American metal band. Formed in 1994, they have released eight studio albums, a number of compilations and a live DVD. Over the course of their career they have evolved from a succession of styles, as well as steadily pioneered a combination of the styles death metal, groove metal, thrash metal and industrial metal, much like Fear Factory.

Over the course of their career they have evolved from a succession of styles, as well as steadily pioneered a combination of the styles death metal, groove metal, thrash metal and industrial metal, much like Fear Factory. Transgress ultimately consists of Vince DeSano (vocals), Christian Wolff (guitar), Jay Silvieria (bass), and Shaun Sevanne (drums). DeSano and Wolff are the founding members, starting the band in 1994 with Kieran Bell (bass) and Joe Witheck (drums). Bell and Witheck left the band in 2000 due to internal problems.
