He was a member of Michael Rizzitello's crew and was arrested along with many other members of the L.A. mob in the late 1980's. He was accused of trying to take over the narcotics trafficking in Newport Beach. Newport Beach’s crazed, coke-fueled party scene was witness to a string of brutal homicides, most of them at the hands of the so-called “Mickey Mouse Mafia” during this time period. Fat Bobby was a restaurateur and businessman in Newport Beach. Paduano seemed to be ripping off every cocaine dealer in Newport Beach using a trio of Samoan mob enforcers led by Johnny Matua, Paduano's bodyguard.
