Reverend Robert Maguire (1826 - 3 September 1890) was an Irish-born Church of England clergyman. He was educated at Trinity College Dublin before being ordained as a priest. He served as curate of St Nicholas, Cork 1849-52, also acting as a missionary of the London Irish Society. He moved to London where he became clerical secretary of the Islington Protestant Institute, an anti-Catholic organisation. He was twice a member of the London School Board: he was elected for Finsbury 1870, but lost his seat in 1876. He returned to the board as a representative of Southwark from 1876-79.

He moved to London where he became clerical secretary of the Islington Protestant Institute, an anti-Catholic organisation. In 1856 a vacancy occurred in the incumbency of St James Clerkenwell. The parish was unusual in that the parishioners had the right of electing the vicar. Maguire was chosen but this proved controversial, and following court proceedings a second poll was held in 1857, with Maguire again chosen. He remained vicar of Clerkenwell until 1875 when he became rector of St Olave's, Southwark, a post he held until his death. He was twice a member of the London School Board: he was elected for Finsbury 1870, but lost his seat in 1876. He returned to the board as a representative of Southwark from 1876-79.
