The Great Plague was a global epidemic lasting from 2010 to 2013 and is currently still around today. The plague was eventually cured by a Berisar in Sel'Sang after their 87th attempt at transmuting an antidote, and word quickly spread among the fractured empire, but their infrastructure had already collapsed beyond repair, and the once great empire remained separated even after the cure.
