The Plasma Mortar is basically a smaller, infantry carried version of the mortar on the Wraith tank. The weapon is functionally similar to human mortars, where it must be deployed on the ground with a gravity bipod and a base plate, then fired from replaceable battery cores. This mortar comes with a inbuilt sensor module to allow the gunner to accurately fire the mortar with or without line of sight. This allows the mortar to produce significant suppressing fire against entrenched forces.
