About: Locap   Sponge Permalink

An Entity of Type : owl:Thing, within Data Space : dbkwik.org associated with source dataset(s)

The locap was a unique plant that could be found in the deep waters of the planet Naboo. The roots of a locap bore into the porous bedrock and siphoned out the natural plasma it contained. Said plasma was then stabilized by the plant's digestive processes and collected in buds on the tips of its stalks. Locap plants grew very slowly and lived for several centuries. When the Gungans, a species of amphibious sentient native to Naboo, were forced to retreat underwater, they discovered that they could farm plasma from the locap buds, which notably allowed them to create their hydrostatic bubbles.
