John Stewart Bragdon (May 21, 1893 – January 7, 1964), a Major General in the United States Army, was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and earned a B.S. from the United States Military Academy in 1915. In 1919 he graduated from the United States Engineering School and went on to earn a M.S. from the Carnegie Institute of Technology in 1923.
