The rear section was from a 1927 Ford Model T Roadster. The truck bed was hand-formed and fitted with hand-made trim. It had a naugahyde tonneau to match the interior. The rear lights were from a 1958 Chevrolet Impala with bezels and lenses from a 1956 DeSoto. The bonnet is a three-piece unit with a continuous scoop of Reynolds aluminium. The grille surround is made from hand-formed metal and incorporates the quad headlights from a 1957 Imperial. The car fell into disrepair and restoration began in 1996. The Ala Kart now attends hot rod shows around America.
