He would instead, execute one of the most embarrassing series of moves in Race history. In Leg 4 they struggled with both the Detour and the Roadblock, and Jessica tried to convince him to use the Express Pass but John continually refused, claiming that there were teams behind them. Despite having a lead on the trailing teams in the beginning of the leg, they fell to last place, and were eliminated in 9th Place. Even Phil lampshaded the idiotic nature of their elimination by saying "Oy Vey" in response to their failure. Due to the humiliating nature of their elimination, they were brought back to compete in the second All-Stars for a chance at redemption. Unlike in their original season where they were portrayed as a cutthroat team, they did not appear to have the same drive as they did before, only finishing above 5th place once. They had the most trouble figuring out the puzzle clue in Rome, resulting in them dropping from first place to last, and Jessica panicked and asked Jamal to give both John and Flight Time the answer to the Roadblock, believing Caroline & Jennifer were behind. The Harlem Globetrotters beat them to the Pit Stop and they ended up in 7th Place.
