The rocky ridge of Stetonkrag, situated at the edge of the Bay of Lemora, was settled before even the time of the Eronam Empire. For centuries, its people lived in their modest stone houses, built on the leeward side to avoid the powerful gales coming in off the sea. They eked a living off a small amount of sheep grazing, and also taking the eggs of the birds which nested on the cliffs, a dangerous activity, but lucrative as they were considered a delicacy on the mainland, particularly in Boondoxia. Eventually, however, in meeting the demand from the mainland, too many eggs were taken, and the birds became almost extinct. Having lost their source of income, the islanders were forced to abandon the island, though the ruins of their houses can still be seen today.
