After the War, China and the USA turned their attentions to the Maoists, mercilessly crushing them at Manchuria. Afterwards the Kuomintang government declared victory. Over time, China became a stable liberal democracy, although it temporarily fell out of grace with America after the annexations of both Tibet and Mongolia in 1951 and 1968 respectively.
