Sand Dragons, also called Dune Worms, are large sand-burrowing worms indigenous to the Southern Barafet Desert. They resemble huge worms with massive scales and circular, teeth filled maw. Dune Worms can grow up to a hundred feet long, in rare cases even a hundred yards. Because Dune Worms are not only extremely difficult to study, but live under ground, their life cycle is virtually unknown; only the Legion has studied the beasts. They do seem to begin in a smaller, earthworm sized larval state, but this has never been confirmed. Dune Worms are extremely strong. Their skin, which evolved to handle the incredible friction of burrowing through sand at high speeds, is one of the toughest skins known to Estreoth. Attempts to utlize this tough skin as armor have proved successful but difficult

The Gunryo's expedition into the Tarnus brought the combined forces against hundreds of worms, which has massed around the Death Bringer's Forward Base. Most were dispatched by Jet Seyre and Raven.
