- Wheeljack was ordered by the Autobots' leader Grimlock to prioritise the rebuilding of the human created mechanoid Centurion, despite many Autobots being injured. Because of this Wheeljack resented the order, dismissing Centurion as an "ancient relic", a remark which the mechanoid took to heart. Centurion sacrificed himself in battle with Megatron by taking out him in an attempt to make amends with an ancient relic's last blaze of glory. Blades subsequently explained this reasoning to the Action Force team.

- Wheeljack is the mechanical engineer and scientist of the Autobots in the Transformers television and comic series based on the popular toy line produced by Takara and Hasbro. His vehicle mode is a Lancia Stratos Turbo 5 race car sporting Alitalia livery. Note that car #539 is the only surviving Lancia Stratos Turbo, only two were ever built by Lancia (compared to the rest which feature a different bodyshell).
