Utopia (VDF135) was born on March 25,2009. Her mother is the Drie Doring's dominant female Mist. Utopia was born with three litter-mate brothers, Boetie, Sebeto and Uranus in a litter of 4. The litter spent the first part of their lives underground and when Utopia and her three brothers reached 2-3 weeks old the surfeced from the burrow and saw daylight. She and her siblings were stuck to the burrow being looked after by the adults who stayed behind to babysit them for the furst more weeks until about 4 weeks old when the trio started to go foraging with the adults. Her mother Mist(the dominant female) leads the mob with her cousin Finn MacCool(the dominant male). The litter spent the first part of their lives underground and when Utopia and her three brothers reached 2-3 weeks old the surfeced from the burrow and saw daylight. She and her siblings were stuck to the burrow being looked after by the adults who stayed behind to babysit them for the furst more weeks until about 4 weeks old when the trio started to go foraging with the adults. Her mother Mist(the dominant female) leads the mob with her cousin Finn MacCool(the dominant male). Utopia and her 3 brothers were fed by the adults until they grew old enough to forage for themselves. In May Utopia is three months old and she and her three brothers were still alive. In June three males including Finn MacCool,Buddah and Thor went roving. With Finn MacCool absent there was no dominant male in the mob and two males from Frisky visited Drie Doring insearch of females to mate with followed by a large trio of more Frisky males. Utopia continued to be cared for and she and her brothers grew to juveniles. Her mother MIst became pregnant again in January 2010 and on February 20-22, 2010 Mist gave birth to four pups, VDP143,VDP144,VDP145 and VDP146. Utopia and her brothers were 12 months old by then and started to help care for the new pups.
