The Reactive Radar was a motion-sensing radar used by Special Forces Unit FOXHOUND. It was able to detect and pinpoint personnel and objects moving within close range. The radar was also equipped with various sensors in order to detect hazards such as nerve gas or land mines (when coupled with a mine detector). The Reactive Radar was invented in 1998 and first utilized by Solid Snake in Zanzibar Land, during Operation Intrude F014. Its use by FOXHOUND was later replaced by the Soliton Radar.
