About: Mental Clone   Sponge Permalink

An Entity of Type : owl:Thing, within Data Space : dbkwik.org associated with source dataset(s)

One of the more terrifying abilities developed by the Darksider known as Sivter is the Mental Clone power. It requires an absolute mastery over the Dark Side, of the Force and an in-depth knowledge of the mental realm. The mental clone is created after the user implants their core thought patterns into the mind of another being. These thought patterns are, in effect, a lesser version of the true user but still have their own sentience. The mental clone then seeks to dominate the mind it is in and take control of the body.

  • One of the more terrifying abilities developed by the Darksider known as Sivter is the Mental Clone power. Ideally the technique shouldn't be attempted until after the chosen victim's mind and will have already been broken by the user, ensuring a smooth domination for the mental clone. Also, care must be taken about what thought patterns are implanted into the victim so as to make sure that the mental clone never tries to rebel against the original user. It is also possible, should the mental clone be destroyed, for the victim's thought patterns to reemerge, but this is mostly dependent on how well the victim's mind was prepped before the mental clone was created. Mental clones are different from spiritual possession in that the mental clone has no inherent power of its own in the Force. Instead it must rely on the power of the body it inhabits. They are also generally not complete versions of the user, however this is to prevent treachery and isn't a limit of the technique itself. A complete copy of the user's mind can be created, but such a thing is time consuming and always runs the risk of backfiring against the user. Sivter has so far demonstrated this power on only one known occasion, when he created a clone inside a Mavoi Drone Master to obtain control over the deadly creature and its creations. This lesser-Sivter in the Drone Master's body was eventually destroyed by Jedi Master Ethan Voss. It is currently unknown if Sivter has used this power at any other time.
