After growing up in St. Louis, Missouri, Spearhead went on to become the youngest, most successful insurance salesman in the Pacific Northwest. It was said he could sell a term policy to a dead cow. Everyone liked him, trusted him and bought more insurance from him than they could afford. He later enlisted in the Army, with many wondering if guilt was a factor in joining the Army so he could give something back. He denies it. In the Army he was known as a "point man", the soldier always leading the charge into a fight.
