In 2268, Moguru offered to help James Kirk, Spock, Leonard McCoy recover their shuttlecraft from the Senites if the Starfleet officers brought him a woman from Khyming. Upon first meeting him, Moguru mistook Spock for a Romulan, and incorrectly guessed that Vulcans were "bastard sons" of Romulans. (TOS novel: Sanctuary)
