| - The show ran for 1 season in America (2 in Japan). However B-Daman did not meet as much success as it was expected. This may be due to the fact that the toys were of poor quality, sometimes arriving broken straight out of the package. The game called for the toys to launch marbles at each other or at targets. Since every piece of armor on a B-daman enhanced its abilities (for example, a longer barrel for increased accuracy), a broken piece made the toy useless. Since each figure was quite expensive, they weren't easy to replace. The fragility of the B-daman was attributed to their brittle plastic. Instructions encourage children to customize their B-daman. However, Parts could break when being removed or inserted. However the concept and game itself was well received. The problem was entirely a matter of execution. The toys were also marketed at the wrong time. "Collectible toy games" like Beyblade were no longer in style. The Release of Bakugan years later would bring them back into style. The show's failure can be attributed to it not being featured on any major cartoon channels until after the toyline was cancelled. That said the show was celebrated for being funny, yet action packed. The story was very gripping, which made any loose ends that resulted from the show's abrupt ending very noticeable. The only major criticism was that the writers would often destroy popular B-Daman blasters in order to promote new toys. The show had two spinoff Gameboy Advance titles, which sold poorly because they were released after the Nintendo DS made the Gameboy obsolete.

- Battle B-Daman or Battle B'Daman(B-伝説 バトルビーダマンBī-Densetsu! Batoru Bīdaman, B-Legend! Battle B-Daman) is an anime and manga series by Eiji Inuki that first aired in January 2004 in Japan, replacing Beyblade in its timeslot. It premiered in the United States on April 2005. Like its predecessor, it is themed around an enhanced version of a children's schoolyard game – whereas Beyblade was based around spinning tops, Battle B-Daman is a dramatized version of marbles. It is the first show of the B-Daman series to be dubbed in English. In Japan, it airs on TV Tokyo. In the United States, it once aired on ABC Family and Toon Disney's JETIX block. At one point, it aired on the Cartoon Network, as well as G4 in the USA, but on the latter was replaced by G.I. Joe Sigma 6 soon after. In Canada, it airs on YTV, in which on February 2007, the second season (entitled Battle B Daman: Fire Spirits) commenced with a completely new voice cast, and what some have called inferior dubbing from the first season; the French dub of the show airs on Télétoon. In the UK, it airs on Toonami and Nicktoons and the first few episodes are currently available through Virgin Media's TV on demand service. The toys were originally made by Takara and were released by Hasbro in North America. In Japan, Battle B-Daman: Fire Spirits! was superseded by Crash B-Daman, a new series with an all new cast and story. The original look of the B-daman character was based on Bomberman (hence the name of the original version of the original toy: "Bomberman B-Tembak"), but the belt buckle is replaced with a "marble". The manga is published in English by Chuang Yi.
