The most prominent NSBM band is Absurd, while other bands labeled NSBM have included Burzum, Hate Forest, Graveland, Spear of Longinus, Temnozor, and Grand Belial's Key among others. National Socialist black metal has been influenced by other music genres espousing a similar ideology ever since its first appearances in the early 90s, including Rock Against Communism, Nazi punk, and white power rock, as well as other genres of heavy metal, such as pagan metal and folk metal.
