A Knifehand Downward Strike is a strike in which the knifehand (held vertically) strikes downward in an arc, usually to strike on top of the opponent's collar-bone. The elbow should be straight the moment of impact. The Knifehand Downward Strike appears, for example, in the form Hwa-Rang.
