The 1929-30 British League season was the first and only season of the competition. Despite it having "British" in the title, the league consisted solely of teams from England. It was also known as the English League and the Southern League. Only 10 games were played in total, and the Varsity Match between Oxford and Cambridge was played at St. Moritz, Switzerland, for four points.
