Susan Hanson (born 2nd February, 1943 in Preston) is a British actress best known for playing Diane Parker/Hunter/Lawton in soap opera Crossroads - a role she appeared in for twenty-one years. She studied at the Webber Douglas School of Dramatic Art and worked as a singer and dancer before going into rep at Edinburgh, Newcastle upon Tyne, the Bristol Old Vic and the Mermaid Theatre in London. In October 2012, she was reunited with her former Crossroads co-star Sue Nicholls when she guest-starred in Coronation Street as Penny Thornley, one of Lewis Archer's former flings.
