The unnamed Customer was a young girl in Sylvia's Separates who bought a pair of trousers and voiced her concern to Elsie Howard that they were too tight and showed all her undies. Elsie suggested a green colour instead of blue and wasn't impressed when the girl handed them back after trying them on with a comment of "Nah, I don't like 'em" and walked out. The character was played by the future Hollywood film star Joanne Whalley-Kilmer under her maiden name.
