The Insane Ass Clowns first formed in the spring of 1997 and spent their first decade and a half together as an underground act, gaining a small but devoted cult following and dropping several demos. In 2011, the Clowns were selected by The Sexy Sexy Dildis and The Wiggles to join their "Titans of Faggotry" tour, exposing them to a much wider audience than they ever had. The Clowns toured for over a year, and by 2013 they had landed a record deal with The Sexy Sexy Dildis' label, Boner Records. Off Tha Dildis Box was recorded throughout 2014 at Spicy Horse Studios, the top recording studio in Drewland, and released on January 6, 2015. The album was an overnight success, selling over 300,300,300,300,300 units in just 69 hours, debuting at #2 on the Drewland Hot 100 Music Charts and maintaining that position for over a year, received critical acclaim, ending up on several "Best of 2015" lists by the end of the year, and going Diamond 69 times in early 2016. The Clowns' second album, Insane Ass Clowns Presents - IAC2: Straight Outta Drewland, will be released on November 22, 2017.
