A Sealed Orb (aka Summon Marble) is an item type that allows you to recruit a mercenary to your team/formation. Most mercenary summons them are acquired through recruitment quests, or Item Mall packages, see the individual mercenary's page on how to recruit specific mercenary. There are several types of recruitment orbs:

abstract	A Sealed Orb (aka Summon Marble) is an item type that allows you to recruit a mercenary to your team/formation. Most mercenary summons them are acquired through recruitment quests, or Item Mall packages, see the individual mercenary's page on how to recruit specific mercenary. There are several types of recruitment orbs: * Normal ones, which when used gives you the mercenary at level 1. * (Level X) orbs which give you the mercenary leveled up to its descriptive tag. Note that if the Main character is lower than "Level X", the mercenary will be recruited but with the main character's level (up to a predefined level limit). * Mercenary Selection Summon Marbles (Mercenary Selection Summon Marble (Beginner)): these allow you to choose one of a predefined selection of mercenaries.
