the scholar of history is a friendly NPC in Palmia, heavily involved in the Main Quest. She stays at the library at the far left of the city, just below the throne room and above the city's western entrance. Should the player attempt to talk to her before the Main Quest is started, they'll be ignored. Once the player has spoken to Slan and then to King Xabi, however, she'll be talking to the player a lot more. She can give some exposition on the dungeons and history of Tyris. Although a Wizard, she does not use spells and will only use melee attacks if provoked.

As the Main Quest progresses, Erystia will give keys to unlock deeper floors of Lesimas, and supply information about the quest's dungeons and back story. After the three outer dungeons (Tower of Fire, Crypt of the Damned and Ancient Castle) are completed, she will give the player the from Queen Stersha. She can give some exposition on the dungeons and history of Tyris. Although a Wizard, she does not use spells and will only use melee attacks if provoked.
