Cothelas, also known as Gudila was a king who lead the Getae who ruled between Thrace and the Danube. In 341 BC, Cothelas concluded a treaty with the Macedonian King, Philip II which he became his vassal. The relation later cemented as Cothelas' daughter, Meda of Odessa became one of the Macedonian King's wives. Not much is known about Cothelas but only that his tomb is somewhere located in the Bulgarian village Sveshtari which is in North-Eastern Bulgaria.
