About: Saint Francis' Boy's Home   Sponge Permalink

An Entity of Type : owl:Thing, within Data Space : dbkwik.org associated with source dataset(s)

The Saint Francis Boys' Home was the orphanage in which Sam and Nathan Drake (then Morgan) were left following their mother's suicide. It was staffed by nuns. Nathan Drake was placed in the orphanage aged five after his father surrendered him to the state. Sam left the orphanage when he was old enough to find a job to provide for the two. As he grew up, young Nate developed a fascination with British explorer and privateer Sir Francis Drake. He left the orphanage the final time during an otherwise ordinary night to search for his mother's journals with Sam, but the circumstances forced the two to change their names, meaning that they could not return to their past lives, including the orphanage.
