  • The Isle of Ruins is a location from The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass. Once the home to a proud civilization known as the Cobble Kingdom, the island now sits in disarray after the kingdom mysteriously vanished into nothingness. The ruler of the Cobble Kingdom, King Mutoh, and three of his four knights still linger on the deserted island as ghosts. When Link, Linebeck, and Ciela arrive at the Isle of Ruins after receiving the Regal Necklace from the ghost of Brant on the Isle of the Dead, they find much of the island to be submerged in water. After speaking with the ghosts of the other three Knights of the Cobble Kingdom, Link ultimately discovers that the remains of the Cobble Kingdom, Mutoh's Temple, resides below the surface of the water. With the use of the King's Key, given to him by Doylan, Link lowers the water level and enters the temple. Here, Link slays the gargantuan golem, Eox, and gains an audience with the ghost of King Mutoh. The king gives Link the Pure Metal, Aquanine, as thanks and drifts back into his eternal slumber.
