Her mastery of English language is credited to her english teachers, Miss Nenette Papica, Mr. Mike Lavadia, Miss Ida Sheng and Dean Salvacion Gerona and Dean Osea who encouraged her not to forget her creative writing inclination despite that she took another field while in the University. She was a Dean’s Lister in the Education and Commerce Department of Universidad de Santa Isabel and was a church organist in her hometown for several years. She graduated cum laude with a degree on Bachelors of Arts Major in Economics at Universidad de Santa Isabel and studied Methods of Teaching at Ateneo de Naga University. While working at Land Bank of the Philippines as Research Analyst and Loans and Credit Analyst, she pursued Masters in Accountacy at Polytechnic University of the Philippines and later she studied Freelance Journalism and Short Story Writing at International Schools, U.K. In 1995, being married to a Swiss, she migrated in Lugano, Switzerland. Adapting herself in a new home and country, she learned and acquired other foreign languages: Italian, German and French apart from being mother language, English, Tagalog, Bicol and bits of knowledge of Spanish and Ilocano. She was a full time mother for almost eight years. In 2002, she became member of the Romance Writers of America and wrote most of her poetry and novel plots. On the same year, she went back to work in the aviation world this time and worked as flights dispatcher for a company with private jet. It was through this job that she discovered her other passion and thirst of knowledge in life: the world of flying and aviation, apart from creative writing, music: piano and guitar. After eight years of marriage, she gained back her freedom and now lives as a single mother with her two daughters, Teresa and Giulia. In August, 2003 she was nominated as one of the Outstanding Poets of the Year during an international poetry symposium and conference in Washington, D.C. In 2004, she was awarded as one of the Best Poets of the Year 2004 for her poem, “Single Mom.” Her poems had been published in various anthology books in U.K. and U.S.A. She is currently working on various book projects: an aviation poetry book, her biography and other novels of various genrès. Her first book, "Rhythm of a Heart, Music of a Soul," published by Trafford Publishing Co. is a poetry book to inspire many people of all walks of life. Inspired by her family and loved ones, her goal in life and writing is to give inspiration, hope and joy especially to single mothers, to all single parents and to any lonely soul out there.
