Crunchy(VBBF060) was born between Februay 21-26, 2010 in the Baobab Mob. Her mother was Cruise and her father was most likely Al Catraz. Her litter-mates were VBBM057, VBBP058, Twatty(VBBM059) and VBBP061. The Baobab was the largest mob in the area at the time of the pups' birth, however Cruise was not the dominant female. Crusie, Al Catraz and several other females had splintered to form the short-lived Urukhai Mob, before returning to the group. Crunchy's aunt Hawkeye was the dominant female at the time of Crunchy's birth. She had just aborted her litter while Cruise killed the other pregnant females' litters to safe guard her pups. Crunchy and her litter-mates were allowed to remain in the mob. Soon Hawkeye hoever became pregnant but she was hit by a car in April and died. Cruise became

In May VBBP061 was predated leaving just three of the pups. All three pups survived to adulthood. Twatty started to rove and disappeared in 2011. Crunchy started to babysit her mother's pups. In Sepember 2011 Crunchy was evicted for the first time along with her two older sisters Herpasaurus and Spatula. In November Crunchy was evicted again. The following month Crunchy was noted to be pregnant however in Janaury 2012 she aborted her litter. In March Crunchy and several other meerkats split from the Baobab and were absent from the group. All the missing meerkats returned to the group the following month. Crunchy remained in the Baobab until May 2013.
