The B2-MC battle droid, or mine clearance droid, was a B2 super battle droid equipped with a built-in mine detector. The droid would send out repulsorlift detector coil that detached from its arm. It would send back a location signal to the droid upon detecting a buried mine. The droid would then fire a small mine clearance missile to destroy the mine. These droids also had weight distributor feet in case they happened to miss any undetected mines.
