An old man finds a baby girl in a basket, in the middle of a bamboo forest. He took the baby to his wife, and they raised her as their own grandchild naming her Kaguya-hime (Princess Kaguya). As time passed the girl started to worry that her adoptive grandparents would leave her alone, and she rejected their love. Also, enchanted by her beauty, several men came to her house with presents and flowers, but she rejected them too. Kaguya's problem was that she couldn't believe someone else loved her. This song is based on a Japanese folktale called The Tale of the Bamboo Cutter.

abstract
  • An old man finds a baby girl in a basket, in the middle of a bamboo forest. One day Kaguya's grandfather told her to make a time capsule, and she buried it in the garden. That night, she was awoken by a bright light and went to the garden. Outside were the Moon people, it was time to return home. Kaguya finally realized that she loved her adoptive parents too. Her memories had to be erased, but she didn't want to forget her life in the Earth. Her chariot flied to the moon, leaving her grandfather alone in the garden with a mantle of feathers Kaguya gave him. 1000 years later, a boy finds a time capsule in a children's playground. Inside, there was a book called "The Tale of The Bamboo Cutter (Princess Kaguya's Great Adventure)" written by Kaguya, dedicated to her Grandpa. It started to rain, and the boy left. This song is based on a Japanese folktale called The Tale of the Bamboo Cutter. This song was originaly released on VOCALOID™3 Library MAYU SPECIAL 2CD and was later featured on After the partY and If the World before recieving it's PV.
