An Entity of Type : owl:Thing, within Data Space : dbkwik.org associated with source dataset(s)

Latifah was found wandering the streets in 2005 - presumably thrown out by her owners when she became ill. I started fostering Latifah for the shelter on March 17, 2006 to transition her from the dry food and canned food diet she got there to a low-carbohydrate diet. Her insulin needs decreased immediately from 3 units twice daily to less than 1 unit twice daily - and her blood sugar was much better controlled. I grew so enamoured with her, I adopted her on October 21, 2006. More at this url

  • Latifah was found wandering the streets in 2005 - presumably thrown out by her owners when she became ill. Latifah has pancreatitis, stomatitis, and an intestinal disorder. However, she does well on a proper diet - primarily homemade raw food based on the recipes at CatInfo.org and CatNutrition.org, as well as some canned foods. Latifah went off insulin in August 2006 for over two weeks. Unfortunately, she became ill from other issues (pancreatitis and gastro-intestinal problems), and went back on insulin temporarily. She's back off the insulin again as of January 2007! More at this url
