Enhancement shaman attack power benefits greatly from Strength; unfortunately mail armor in endgame with strength on it is rare outside of tier sets and PVP gear. Strength provides more AP per point than raw attack power, and it also scales with Blessing of Kings. The gear listed here, although lacking Strength, is still very useful for enhancement shamans.

abstract
| - Enhancement shaman attack power benefits greatly from Strength; unfortunately mail armor in endgame with strength on it is rare outside of tier sets and PVP gear. Strength provides more AP per point than raw attack power, and it also scales with Blessing of Kings. The gear listed here, although lacking Strength, is still very useful for enhancement shamans. The list presented here is automatically generated using the following EEP weights: Strength 2.1, AP 1, Agility 1.74, Crit 2, Hit 1.34, Haste 1.3. Red and blue sockets are assumed to be +8 strength, yellow sockets to be +8 crit, and meta sockets to be Thundering Skyfire Diamond. Once you get into T6 content these values change closer to STR: 2 AP: 1 AGI: 1.54 Crit: 1.74 Haste: 1.82 Hit: 1.69 Armor Penetration: .35 Expertise: 3.18. So as you can see haste becomes of more importance than any other stat than STR and Expertise. Weapons for an Enhancement Shaman should be as slow as you can get. 2.6-2.8 is generally the slowest speed of single-handed weapon available. This speed also applies to the shaman's off-hand because if you have a fast off-hand it will get the windfury proc more often than your main hand, and it does half the damage of the main hand. Vanir's fist is an exception (2.5 attack speeds) because of the high dps and added haste rating. Daggers are not made for the enhancement shaman. Despite the high dps it isn't a good weapon for this class, since most daggers are 1.8 speed or faster.
