An aerial battleship is a kind of battleship equipped with a short flight deck for aerial operation. After the Battle of Midway, the Imperial Japanese Navy considered several aircraft carrier conversion schemes of battleship proposed by Abe Yasuo in Maru Special 116. Britain, France and America all had similar conceptions before WWII, but the only aerial battleships ever made are the Japanese Ise-class battleships.
