The Aslavan government was the ruling body of the Wild Space planet of Aslava. Sometime prior to 38 BBY, the planet suffered economic turmoil and so the government become a dictatorship under the president. The Aslavan civil war broke out as a result, when a unity of rebel factions, the Aslavan national coalition, decided to have a revolution. The war ultimately ended in a coalition victory, and the government was overthrown. It possessed a defense force which fought in the civil war, the Aslavan gendarme.
