While Jake is preparing to go back to Judith’s with Alan, Charlie prepares to woo Tiffany later that night using Jake’s things to show her that he is a ‘family guy’. Just before leaving, Jake hears Charlie saying, “If you have someone to clean your house and do your shopping, and you get some action on a regular basis, the only reason you need a wife is if you have some sick compulsion to give away half your stuff”. This gets in Jake’s head, and when he gets back to Judith’s, he repeats the same to Judith’s support group.

This gets in Jake’s head, and when he gets back to Judith’s, he repeats the same to Judith’s support group. When Alan reaches back, he and Charlie get in a heated discussion, ultimately leading to Tiffany leaving Charlie. Next week, as Alan prepares to collect Jake, Judith’s support group and Judith gang-up on Alan, and impose on Alan that he can only have Jake back if he agrees not to keep him in Charlie’s house. This ultimately led to Alan leave alone. Jake not being at home for the weekend affects everyone, including Berta, Rose and Evelyn. This leads Charlie to go to Judith’s house, and try to sort it out with her. During this process, Charlie one-by-one starts winning Judith’s entire support group, and wins their heart, and ultimately turns them against Judith when she rubs in Charlie’s face that he has no children. Ultimately, the entire support group ends up on Charlie’s house, having drinks and singing. Judith, defeated by Charlie’s tricks, brings back Jake, and agrees to go back to the original custody, if Charlie agrees never to come in Judith’s house again.
