James Ross (c.1824 - 27 July 1886) was a Conservative Party politician active in the Westminster area. For many years he was employed as the secretary of the London and Westminster Working Men's Constitutional Association, an organisation that supported Conservative candidates. He was a member of the London School Board, elected to represent Westminster in 1879, 1882 and 1885. He died, aged 62, in July 1886, the day after he was injured when he was knocked down by a hansom cab.
