Cestus Penitentiary was a prison built on Ord Cestus by the Galactic Republic in 321 BBY, on land offered by the X'Ting near and under Kibo Lake. When a dozen Cybot Galactica officers were sent there for twenty years following a disaster on Etti IV, they contracted with the Penitentiary officials to form what would become Cestus Cybernetics. The Five Families of Cestus Cybernetics eventually turned its lower areas into a private retreat.
