Anti-emetics are a group of pharmaceuticals used to relieve nausea and vomiting. In addition to treating these conditions as symptoms of a disease, they are also commonly given to chemotherapy patients to counteract the side effects of those drugs. Some typical anti-emetics are ondansetron, metoclopramide and promethazine.
