- One night, Jean-Paul dreams of his patron, Saint Dumas. The apparition warns that Jean-Paul will be transformed into something beyond the Batman - that he must become a demon if the dark city of Gotham is to be redeemed. After waking, Jean-Paul returns to the Batcave, making further changes to his Batsuit. While searching for Harold deeper in the cave, Jean-Paul realizes that the dwarf has secretly been working on a large project. He follows the trail until discovering that Harold has built a specialized Batmobile that runs on the rails of a derelict Gotham subway line.
