Dubloon was the name of a black, thoroughbred stallion owned by Charles Collins in 1810. Charles regularly kept Dubloon coraled inside of the stables located separately from the main house of Collinwood. Charles blamed a local clergyman named Reverend Strack for the death of his lover, Angelique. Following Angelique’s funeral, Charles mounted Dubloon and had the horse trample the elderly reverend beneath his hooves.
