Gas Street is a street located in Weatherfield. In 1966, a young Paul Cheveski fell into Weatherfield Canal through an unfenced part of the street. In 1978, Bet Lynch considered renting a flat on the street until Alf Roberts offered her lodgings at 15a Coronation Street. Sidney Hayes died in Gas Street when he was caught in an air raid in 1940.
