BTB Slayer (Big Team Battle) was a collection of Halo 2 Slayer style multiplayer game variants that pitted large teams (of up to eight people) against each other. Because it was an unranked play list, it was a haven both for guest accounts and for players that were tired of the cheating associated with leveling up in ranked matches. As of April 2007, BTB Slayer was merged with BTB Skirmish to form the new BTB playlist. The BTB playlist featured five/six vs. five/six, was unranked, and didn't require the final Halo 2 maps (Desolation and Tombstone) to play.
