The House of Ardyn was a minor noble house in Maar Sul. It was also secretly the funder of the Order of the Black Rose. Counts Antigonus de Ardyn and Belial de Ardyn had both been prominent leaders of the Order. The house lost much of its remaining reputation after Antigonus's son Mordecai de Ardyn was found guilty of conspiring with the Totenkopfs during the Second Great War, while Desdemona de Ardyn had married King Marcus Sarillius and thus lost her right to being the head of the house after Antigonus's disappearance. The House of Ardyn had its noble status revoked after King Geraden Aurelac's rise to power in Maar Sul in the Fourth Age.
