| - In den USA ist eine Zombie-Apokalypse ausgebrochen, welche den größten Teil der Menschen dort befallen hat. Der junge Columbus hat sich eigene Regeln aufgebaut, mit denen er bis jetzt erfolgreich überleben konnte. Er hält sich strikt an die Regeln und bricht keine davon. Irgendwann stoßt er jedoch auf Tallahassee, welcher ihn nun begleitet. Jedoch will Columbus nur in die Stadt seiner Eltern reisen, um zu sehen, ob es ihnen gut geht. Als er dann auf Wichita und Little Rock trifft, wird die Sache jedoch komplizierter.
- Zombieland is a 2009 zombie survival comedy. The plot concerns the adventures of erstwhile companions "Columbus," "Tallahassee," "Wichita" and Wichita's sister "Little Rock" as they travel across the ruined country in search of parents, Twinkies, and a supposedly zombie-free amusement park in Hollywood, respectively. Along the way, Columbus narrates his rules for survival, which appear on-screen as part of the running gag. They also have an encounter with Bill Murray, playing himself. Zombieland minis are mini versions of the misspelled canon, or generic zombie minis for locations, etc.

- The Humans do not generate income. They start out with some cash, which is suggested to be saved for emergency purchases during the game, but that's it. They cannot build any more troops, and whatever casualties they suffer are irrecoverable. The Zombies on the other hand will grow and breed like rabbits and their numbers will soon get out of hand. On the upside, the humans have Chuck Norris on their side, who can send any zombie flying with a roundhouse kick to the face. Can you exterminate the undead before it is too late?

Though he does not appear to be sociable, Tallahassee reluctantly allows Columbus to travel with him. - Along with Bill Murray doing a decent length cameo, there are tons of Ghostbuster references.
* Bill Murray wears a sweeper like a proton pack, and Tallahassee wears what looks to be a prop of a proton pack (along with a jumpsuit) in a scene where they are jokingly playing ghostbusters, also Wichita seems to be trying to sound like Janine Melnitz in the same scene.
* Jesse Eisenberg, and Abigail Breslin are watching Ghostbusters (First Movie) in Bill Murray's theater as the character Little Rock has never seen the movie, let alone know who Bill Murray is.
* Woody Harrelson (as Tallahassee) all throughout the movie wants really bad a Twinkie which is also a main food product used by Egon Spengler in explaining the level of ectoplasmic of New York in the first Ghostbusters movie. T
